Beginners Yoga at Ritter Public Library in Vermilion @ Ritter Public Library

Practice yoga basics in a fun and supportive environment. Each one-hour session will start out with warm-ups and proceed to step-by-step asana instruction, providing you with an active, yet gentle practice, that focuses on breath work, strengthening of the core and back, stretching, toning, relaxation and meditation. This yoga class will help you open up areas of tightness, such as hips and shoulders, and get you moving with basic Sun Salutations sequences. If you are feeling stressed out, you will leave this class feeling refreshed and energized. Please bring a yoga mat. The class is taught by Maria Santoferraro, E-RYT 500 of www.dailydownwarddog.com. All yoga levels are welcome. There is no charge for sessions, but donations for the instructor are welcome. Classes will be held in the Community Room.

Slow Flow & Meditation @ Yoga Bliss

An uplifting class that begins with a seated pranayama (breath) exercise, followed by a slower paced yet invigorating vinyasa yoga practice. The last 15 minutes of class are dedicated to a long sweet savasana and instruction for a quiet period of meditation to help your mind calm and let your body relax and absorb the peace and stillness. If you are seeking detailed asana and meditation instruction, or desire a slower paced yoga practice with longer holds and focus on breath and proper alignment, this class is for you!
