I’m writing at my desk this afternoon, and even though it’s been six hours since my morning yoga workout, I’m still enjoying the pleasurable and exhilarating residual effects—tingling muscles, bounds of energy, and a great mental attitude (or in other words, I’m still buzzing from my yoga high). This yoga thing has got me feeling stronger every day. And it’s not just my muscles that are feeling stronger; my brain and my emotional well-being are pumping up as well. I’m feeling more love in the room and compassion toward others. I’m managing my stress levels and focusing on living in the now. I’m moving my body, stretching my mind, releasing toxins, and healing my aching back.
Yoga, I do believe in you, and I know you believe in me. Wait a minute; I think I feel another yoga theme song coming on…
Yeah, yoga is one of the best things to happen to me (after my family, husband, and friends), and it could just be one of the best things to happen to you. If you want to give it a try, check out some of these online resources that offer incredible online classes, or go to your library and pick up a DVD for beginners. Many yoga studios offer free classes to allow you to try it out, so get online and do a search in your community to see if any studios nearby offer these classes.
I love the way yoga makes me feel, and I’m convinced that I need to start getting up earlier so I can start as many of my days as possible with a yoga workout. Even if it’s only 30 minutes, what a great way to start the day—breathing in all the possibilities for the day and breathing out anything that won’t serve me. Getting that yoga high and keeping it all day long. I’m feeling stronger every day both mentally and physically. Yeah, yeah, yeah…
So which workout did you do? I really need to do more regularly. It’s funny I tried the Guided Mediation on Sound online and kept thinking how can I concentrate if he keeps talking but none the less I was so relaxed afterward. I’ll keep trying. Thanks for that resource.
Hi Erin – I’ve been trying a different workout everyday! It is so much fun trying out all the different flavors of yoga on My Yoga Online and I haven’t had a bad workout yet. The workout I did that inspired this blog was the Morning Yoga Flow with Neil Mark. I also did a 20 minute Yoga Core DVD as an add-on – because I’m really trying to strengthen my abdominals. I typically tweet every morning about the yoga video I tried. I’ll keep you posted when I find really kick-ass workouts and please do the same.

Totally. Love it. ♥
It’s where I go to get my Anusara on because I live in the boondocks and can’t get to real classes. They have like a 15 day free trial or something. Anyway – I highly recommend it.
I am a frequent reader of your blog posts. I liked the recent one and other posts on your blog so much that I have subscribed to the blog’s RSS feed in Thunderbird. Even thinking of stealing some ideas and put them to work. Keep all the good work going by posting more informative posts. Thank you. Time well spent on this post.
