Daily Downward Dog Yoga Retreats (MariaMedia LLC) Terms & Conditions – Gratitude in Greece Retreat – October 1-8, 2023
- All Daily Downward Dog Yoga Retreats purchases and reservations are non-refundable, except in the case that a retreat does not occur. If force majeure (e.g. pandemic, natural disasters, travel restrictions, etc.) causes the Gratitude in Greece Retreat to be canceled, we will offer a rescheduled date for the retreat. In this case, we will not refund payments when it is due to causes beyond our control. If the rescheduled retreat date does not work for the customer, full or partial credit (not a refund) towards another MariaMedia LLC retreat at any destination may be possible. If a customer cancels and finds someone to take their spot and they pay in full (transferring your spot), we will refund your money.
- A $500 US non-refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation. The second non-refundable payment of $275 US is due on August 1, 2023. If your reservation is made after July 31, 2023, both the $500 deposit and $275 payment will be due.
- The final payment is due in cash EUROS payable direct to Milelia Inselgarden on October 1, 2023. If the balance is not paid on the due date we will treat the booking as canceled. If a customer cancels with less than 2 months prior to October 1, 2023, 90% of the final payment will be due unless a replacement is found.
- It is required that all customers have adequate travel, cancellation, and medical insurance for the duration of this trip. Proof of insurance must be provided to MariaMedia LLC before start of the retreat.
- Customers are responsible for transportation to the retreat. Daily Downward Dog Yoga Retreats will not refund money to customers who were not able to attend the retreat due to weather, canceled flights, health conditions, or other impediments to travel.
- MariaMedia LLC is not held liable for any customer travel, food, or other costs not included in the retreat.
- MariaMedia LLC reserves the right to offer discretionary discounts and this does not affect the status of any guests who have paid the full price and no discount will then become due to them.
- The customer shall not use any retreat property except for permitted use and shall not use the property for any offensive, noisy, dangerous, illegal, entertainment, immoral, or improper purposes. The customer shall not do anything which may be a nuisance or annoyance to retreat guests, staff, or property owners.
- MariaMedia LLC reserves the right at their sole discretion to terminate retreat involvement by the customer in the event of any breach of these terms and conditions. The customer will be required to vacate the retreat and MariaMedia LLC shall not refund payment or accept any consequential liability damages or loss.
- Retreat participants must be 18 years of age or older and agree to be entirely financially responsible for all charges and other fees arising from participating in this retreat.
- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that he/she has all relevant travel documentation and if required at time of the retreat, Covid-19 negative test result paperwork required by their airline carrier and for entrance back into the United States after the retreat.
- MariaMedia LLC can accept no responsibility for delay or cancellation of any flights, trains, buses, or other forms of transport.
- MariaMedia LLC reserves the right to alter any facility accommodation or yoga activity.
- Customer understands that it is their responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding their participation in yoga classes and yoga retreat activities and represent and warrant they have no medical condition that would prevent their participation in yoga classes and retreat excursions. The customer recognizes that yoga requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and is fully aware of the risks and hazards involved
- Customers are required to contact MariaMedia LLC with any adverse symptoms up to a week prior to the retreat start date. Anyone arriving with a temperature greater than or equal to 100 degrees F will not be able to join the retreat, and anyone experiencing symptoms during the retreat must report their symptoms immediately.
- Customers are aware of the existence of the risk on their physical appearance to the venue and their participation in the retreat activities that may cause injury or illness such as, but not limited to Influenza, MRSA, or COVID-19 that may lead to paralysis or death, and are therefore fully and personally responsible for their own safety and actions.
- In consideration of being permitted to participate in yoga retreat classes and retreat excursions, the customer agrees to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which they might incur as a result of participating in the program and promise to participate within their comfort zone. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the yoga retreat and activities, the customer knowingly, voluntarily, and expressly waives any claim they may have against Maria Santoferraro and MariaMedia LLC for any injury, illness, or damages that they may sustain as a result of participating in the retreat. Customers will inform the instructor of any new injury or condition which might affect their ability to practice yoga or take part in retreat activities.
- With full knowledge of the risks involved, the customer hereby releases, waives, discharges Maria Santoferraro and MariaMedia LLC employees from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever, directly or indirectly arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, or death, that may be sustained by me related to COVID-19 while participating in any activity while in, on, or around the premises or while using the Facilities that may lead to unintentional exposure or harm due to COVID-19.
- In the event of a customer having any complaint then he/she will not discuss this with any third party and shall notify Maria Santoferraro as soon as possible.
- MariaMedia LLC shall not be liable for any failures beyond its control. This covers natural disasters, war, ‘acts of God’, closure of airports, civil strife, accidents, or failure to perform by third parties, including suppliers and subcontractors.
- MariaMedia LLC accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or illnesses that may be received during the customer’s stay or traveling to and from the Gratitude in Greece Yoga Retreat.
- It is recommended that all customers take safety precautions by keeping valuables, such as jewelry, at home.
- With respect to still photos and/or video footage from the trip which include(s) your image and/or name, the customer irrevocably grants MariaMedia LLC the right to use those photos and/or footage for marketing and promotional purposes (including, without limitation, on our website, in advertisements, marketing materials and/or on our social media platforms), on a royalty-free basis, throughout the world, and in perpetuity.
COVID Protocol and Policy
The health and well-being of all guests and staff of Maria Media LLC is a priority.
Retreat participants are required to contact MariaMedia LLC with any adverse symptoms up to a week prior to the retreat start date and if they have a fever, have flu-like symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has flu-like symptoms, they will be asked to stay home and not travel to the retreat.
Anyone arriving with a temperature greater than or equal to 100 degrees F will not be able to join the retreat, and anyone experiencing symptoms during the retreat must report their symptoms immediately.
Travel insurance is highly recommended as the nature of Covid-19 is unpredictable.
Unless required in a particular region, venue, or restaurant, masks will not be required. However, if you want to use a mask, we respect your decision. Social distancing will be practiced with all retreat activities as best possible with safety in mind for all retreat participants and tour guides.
While on retreat we ask that everyone takes care of sanitary practices and respect each other’s personal space and the social distancing choices of everyone attending the retreat. Please bring your own disinfectant (allergies/preferences etc.) and wash and disinfect your hands, yoga mats, and props often.
As of January 2023, proof of a COVID vaccine or Negative PCR test within 48 hours WAS NOT REQUIRED to enter Greece. For US Citizens there is no testing requirement in place to return back to the United States.
These health and safety protocols and procedures are subject to change. Your retreat leader will advise you if anything changes in this regard.
